Corporatedirect LLC formation

Has anybody used Corporatedirect.com for forming an LLC? Garrett Sutton is the attorney and I've been impressed with his writing both here and in books. I'd like to hear from someone who has used him to form a company and learn about their experience.

What services have others used and found to be helpful in forming an LLC. My main concern is ensuring that the Operations agreement covers all the bases for real estate buying and holding with another member in the LLC.

Thanks!

Don

Each state has different procedures for the formation of LLC, corporations, trusts, etc. Texas, for example has standardized the process and made it exceedingly easy for an individual to form an LLC himself. The Texas Secretary of State provides an online form in which you fill in the blanks (name, date, etc.). The Articles of Organization are provided to you and are so generic they cover about everything. Almost all LLC, large and small use this form.

Where an attorney would come in is if the LLC was anything other than a single member LLC. With two or more members, it would be preferable to have an Operating Agreement, to clearly spell out the relationship between or amongst the members.

While I don't know of CorporateDirect, it would seem that an attorney providing incorporation services in all 50 states would by neccessity provide only generic, basic documentation, while a local practicing business attorney would be able to provide documentation more specific to your individual case.

However, as I stated I am not familiar with this particular legal organization, and if anyone has information contrary to what I stated above, I would be most interested in learning about it.

Thanks for the response. Yep, it's all easy to do online and the main concern is a solid operations agreement. I'm looking for an agreement that will work well for a two member LLC for real estate investments that covers various contingencies associated with that area of business.
