They made things extremely easy and hassle-free as a property owner. Amber turned maintenance issues into non-issues! She was extremely quick, efficient, and helpful. I would absolutely use them again.

Edit to add: I requested a call back after being hung up on and never received it. I’m glad they had a chance to respond here on my google review. Would still rate them 0 stars. The most recent issue they mentioned below doesn’t justify the experience they’ve offered from the beginning. To add more clarity, I called a week before move in to ask about the yard and was told by them it was part of the “make ready”. The lady that showed me the home was taking pictures of the yard and sending to maintenance as I arrived on day 1 assuring me it was not to their standards and would be resolved. It was my mistake for accepting the keys. It’s a loophole in their policy and agreement with the owner that justifies it for them…not good enough. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. I do not recommend leasing from them. Moved into a dirty home with 3ft tall weeds they refused to take care of. it’s been issue after issue. Maintenance is rude. They will forget to tell the techs about scheduled maintenance and do not include all maintenance on the work order. Maintenance team will blame the techs, the owner, and even you but never accept accountability. The maintenance coordinators will ultimately just hang up on you and delay your maintenance requests. Managers don’t call back or assist in resolving issues.

We have had an amazing experience with Homeworx, They have been upfront with every tenant applicant and after the fact with any issues coming up. They are straight and open to help you if you want to use their own people to fix stuff or you are more than welcome to hire your own people. This last 4 months unfortunately we had a problem with some water leak thru all the house and we got connected with Terri Solis. What an amazing person she is and totally a responsible human being. She was on top of everything and was in communication with us about any little update we needed. She took care of everything for us with the insurance company and able to get a great quote for the repairs and was able to stay in that budget she quote us and did not spent any extra or tried to get any more money from us. We are super thankful she was the person responsible to help us. Big thanks to Terri for all her hard work she put up in our behalf. Nery H

If you’re moving from out of town like California I highly recommend picking someone else. The realtor does the work in the beginning and it makes you feel so good like you will be taken care of the whole time like that, but don’t let it fool you. The actually management company will do nothing to help you.

I would not lease or rent any property underneath their portfolio, or have them manage your properties. If you owe them money they will send it immediately to collections, with no recourse and no capitulation in order to remove it from collections even if you plan on paying them. Angie from the accounting department plays hardball and has no moral compass in regards to good-faith business.

I left Homeworx because of constant up-charging and lack of transparency. Their vendor quotes for flooring, plumbing, HVAC, and other repairs were consistently higher than independent contractors, sometimes even inflating square footage to raise costs. They also failed to do proper inspections and had poor communication, leaving me to rely on family or past real estate contacts just to figure out how to proceed with all these issues. I never felt they had my best interests in mind, which is why I moved on. There are other property management companies in the local area that give owners and tenant's piece of mind especially if you want to keep your security deposit like the reviews below!

I would highly discourage anyone from renting and working with this property management company. They have shady business practices and rip you off. Employees don't communicate with one another and give conflicting information. They make you pay professionals to clean the carpet and even to have something as simple as having an air filter replaced by a company when moving out, which we did, and then even after providing invoices as proof they still want to deduct that from the deposit refund owed. The place was not clean at move-in. I had to dust fan blades myself, clean the inside of the dirty washer, clean off the back concrete myself at move-in and even though I cleaned it and left it in WAY better condition than I moved into, they want to deduct over $700 from my owed refund. Will never, ever work with this company again!

This company is the worst company. They represent slum lords who do not fix anything on a house. $2200 a month and they won’t fix anything they won’t have your back when the owner doesn’t want to fix something and then they act like they don’t know the law or know what to do. There is absolutely no accountability from the company or the owner but they will make sure if you are 1 minute late they charge you a ridiculous amount I have been a renter for 10 years and I would not ever use this company. I truly do not see how they are still In business. I wish I could give them a negative rating because 1 star isn’t even touching it. Below are text directly from the company in regards t fixing anything.
