All move-ins should be like this! The portal allowed us to get everything scheduled for hook up in less than 30 minutes and John was very proactive and got timely responses to our questions and the rentcheck app they partnered with made it easy as possible to record the move-in

John McGuire of Real Property Management Affiliates was respectful and very helpful throughout the renter application process. The Property interiors and exteriors are very clean with modern features. I will definitely recommend RPM Affiliates to everyone looking to rent.

John was wonderful to work with. Sometimes it’s a bit difficult working with property management companies. This was definitely NOT the case with Real Property Management Affiliates. I even mentioned this to a few of the other Nino Properties’ Agents I work with. John and his Team do a great job!

I just moved into the apartment and the experience has been very good overall. The apartments are on a nice street in a very walkable area and a great value. The space itself was clean and in nice shape, and I've been able to access friendly assistance and ask questions during the move-in process. It is a quiet unit and the neighbors have been pleasant to meet. Parking is in a secured area and there are a washer and dry on the premises. All in all a great place!

10.22.24 - In response to the property management. I NEVER received assistance to move again. NOTHING. $700 in additional moving costs. You’re claiming to have assisted with that? That’s simply untrue and you know it. Oddly enough you took time to respond to me on a public platform to save face. Why not just respond to 1 of the 8 emails I’ve sent since May 2023 where I have requested itemization of the transfer of funds…Instead of taking time to reply to a review? Speaks volumes. I know exactly how I made the $2k+ deposit and 2k+ move in (total over 4k to RPM) through Obligo and funds weren't transferred to the second property nor rendered to me. During the post move in walk through required by you all, I noted SEVERAL hollow spots throughout the home. The same hollow spots that turned into “foundation issues”. I gain nothing from being dishonest like you all have been. Also, I am not sure what the properties I toured prior to moving have anything to do with the faulty property I applied and signed a lease for (at 5063). I never applied to any other property toured (with RPM) until AFTER the property I lived in started facing issues due to you and the owners lack of quality control. I moved into the property I wanted and was forced out. If I knew what I know now, I would have taken all my money back and rented with someone who has integrity. Thank you for your dismissive response and despite being taken advantage of by this company, I have enjoyed my time in Houston. No thanks to you all. I hope this serves as another warning to anyone looking to rent from this company. Dishonest, unprofessional, and unresponsive until put on blast. Disgusting. … 1 year update (2024): I moved into a renovated property from NC to TX in May 2023. Two weeks into my living there, my bed fell through the foundation in the middle of the night. Literally my bed fell through the floor. After filing a maintenance request to repair, it was discovered the entire home was a safety hazard as the foundation was weak. The owner and property management (RPM) decided it would not be safe for me to continue living in the space while they repaired the foundation. After spending over $5k to move into the home I toured one month prior, I was given 4 days to move out without any reimbursement/moving assistance though I’d just paid to move across the country to this property specifically. I ended up transferring my lease to another RPM property. The property I transferred to (smaller and more expensive) stopped being managed by RPM after a month of my living there. Several months after moving to other property that was an RPM property at the time, it was a discovered by the new property management that money for my deposit went “missing” in the transfer process. I paid over $2.5k in deposits in addition to the rent for the month. John McGuire kept that money to pay himself a commission on a faulty property. Neither RPM nor the home owners did their due diligence to ensure the original property was renovated to standard and SAFE for living PRIOR to renting and obtaining money for an inhabitable property. After being taken advantage, discarded, and lied to (young woman) I have been reaching out for several months to request an itemized listing of the transfer of funds to no avail. I have been forced to take action on my own. I do not recommend renting through this property management company. The homes are nicely renovated but in my personal experience the owner is untrustworthy and willing to put renters at a disadvantage due to their own lack of accountability, due diligence, integrity, and professionalism. I had to cover all my own moving expenses to move AGAIN with zero accommodations or consideration for a situation where the owners and RPM were at fault. I could go into far more detail but I don’t believe there are enough characters to express my more than poor experience with John McGuire and RPM. Save yourself the headache and rent through someone who has renters best interest at heart. ….
