Mike proved to be a marvelous fit for BRRR. I'm a licensed Realtor in Washington, as is my son who does the leg work. He flew out to meet Mike and review multiple properties Mike had sent as BRRR prospects. We ended up buying a 3 apartment building that hadn't been on the list. Mike shines because he knows his market, and a huge added caveat is that he is a licensed general contractor. So he has a great eye for identifying problems and estimating costs as he shows properties. As it is with so many real estate deals the purchase was not smooth sailing. First due deligence showed some possible permitting issues of the previous owner. Mike verified with the lawyer ( a Mike recommended attorney) that it was managable. Then an error on the seller side almost lost the deal, but Mike negotiated the way through it with professionalism and aplomb. He actually agreed to act as our general contractor and his connections with local tradespeople saved us thousands of dollars. Next week we anticipate the completion of one apartment and all three by the first of January. Then on to renting. I appreciate Mike's abilities as a realtor his expertise in the market (Chicago is a tricky one) and I'm looking forward to working with him again.
