My wife and I purchased a home with James a few years ago and as this holiday season approaches, with us getting to spend a 3rd Christmas in our beautiful home, I was reminded of the amazing experience James provided when we bought in 2022. We were living in a home we rented in Coventry RI for just over 5 years and our landlord decided it was time to sell. We loved where we lived but did not want to pay the price being charged knowing intimately all the work needed to make it the home we wanted. So we started looking for real estate agents. I am honestly not sure how my wife found James but we had a good feeling and he had great reviews so we decided to give him a call. One of the best decisions we have ever made. Before we get into the home buying stuff, James actually helped me to get diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease because he noticed I was walking with a bit of a limp and just asked about it. He had dealt with similar issues from his time in the military and knew others who had the same pain. I got it checked out at his suggestion and have been on the path to recovery ever since. I no longer walk with a limp because of James. And that was far before we bought a house with him. When we went into the market we were interested in staying in RI, since had live there all our lives. We gave James our list of preferences and non-starters and he got to work. We went to house after house in town after town but nothing was a fit. Too small, no yard, too expensive and in a few cases others' offers were accepted over ours. We had to expand our search parameters in some way. After speaking with some friends and family we decided to look on the Connecticut border. We've always loved driving through eastern CT so we know the landscape was what we were looking for. James showed up a handful of home that were all in or below our budget, had at least what we were looking for if not more and all seemed like a great fit. We were between 2 houses and I was leaning one way, my wife the other. James helped us make the decision and actually sided with my wife, which was ultimately the absolute best decision. When we were going through the purchasing process James and his team were amazing. Answering all of our random questions, always following up, keeping us updated and making sure we were crystal clear on the process. And when we had issues with our Mortgage lender and company last minute James was a calm consistent presence assuring us no matter the difficulty we'd figure it out together. There were a few last minute issues with our mortgage company and we were supported throughout the process and signed on our home. James has personally checked up on us on multiple occasions himself over the last few years. It has been so great to keep in touch. It's not a situation where you get the keys and they disappear, they are there for what else you need. Which honestly we haven't needed anything since we purchased but we know we can call if we need to.
