Alexandra Hughes Pailet

As a compulsive planner with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences, Alex serves as the Director of Events at BiggerPockets where she plans the BiggerPockets Conference, meetups, and a few other special events and projects.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Alex moved to Denver in 2016 to join the BiggerPockets team and got her start as an investor with her first house hack in 2018. She began renting out rooms in her SFH to housemates-turned-friends! Since then she has fully transitioned that property into a long-term rental, while also investing in two additional small multifamilies.

She and her husband, Dave, who also works in the real estate industry, live in Denver with their beloved black cat and sweet baby boy. They are currently house hacking their “forever home” after turning their primary bed + bath into a separate guest suite they rent on Airbnb.

In her free time, you can find her traveling near and far, volunteering on the Rocky Mountain Women Invest board, thrifting and trying out DIY projects, finding any excuse to plan a party, and spending time outside with loved ones.
