Colorado No Longer the Foreclosure Capital of the USA!!

Joshua Dorkin
1 min read

rockies.jpgAt last! In 9 of the 12 months last year, Colorado led the nation in foreclosures. Times have begun to change, though . . .

Colorado had 4,853 homes in the process of foreclosure last month, or one out of every 377, according to RealtyTrac, an Irvine, Calif.-based company that monitors foreclosures. Colorado had the fourth-highest rate in the country in January. Nevada took the top spot with one out of every 362 homes in foreclosure. Michigan and Georgia also had higher foreclosure rates than Colorado. (CBS4Ddenver)

This is pleasing news I’m sure, for residents and politicians of Colorado who seem to be walking with a bit more pep in their step this month. Smell that . . . its pride returning to the Rockies!

NOTE: I take no credit for the decrease in foreclosures, even though it did occur once I moved into the state.
