Never heard of them. They do have a web site as you know and seem to be a legit business of some kind. Most likely brokers and in my experience in the best of all worlds, trading assets is a MAJOR task when one is directly involved with an asset seller and asset buyer, having already established a professional business relationship. A cold call from a firm not directly holding assets, from someone who seems " vague" to another party not directly buying assets is a can of worms at best. Assets trade ( buy and sell ) by and between established institutional parties, major Hedge and Private equity funds etc. These folks already know one another. It's a small world in the industry and these professionals also attend distressed asset, default servicing symposiums and are well represented. There is also a bunch of legal compliance issues to these trades and a lot of the DISTRESSED seller entities are regulated by the SEC, FDIC etc. There are so many State and Federal level investigations by so many different entities at this point and the scene is so messed up, that I would be reluctant to be involved unless I were an actual buyer or seller's employee or legal team. I was working for a " Legal Team" on Wall Street and there are/were complicated snags there as well. I bailed! |

What a nightmare. I am getting emails telling me what a jerk I am and how I obviously know nothing about Bulk REO and I must have never closed a deal in my life. I am attaching their " product list" . It has over 350b in assets on it. Yeah, likly story. You guys are going to love this. James, it seems a can of worms is an understatment. |

Stephen - Why are you getting emails? For posting the TIF? Anyone here on the site? |

I am attaching their " product list" . It has over 350B in assets on it. Yeah, likly story. You guys are going to love this. Well, analysts estimate a total of 400 BILLION in TOTAL sub prime, ALT-A, option ARM (related) losses through 2010. Of this 400 BILLION , only a fraction would be actual REO properties and of that fraction another small fraction would EVER be BULK sales. So, without even reading the attachment, which I will, I can tell you your dealing with CLOWNS who are BOGUS!! Right now one could purchase a handful of Wall Street investment banks with half of 400B-LOL You could always send that list to the SEC if the sender is a legal entity and identifiable in relation to the list. It's FRAUDULENT advertising of

Hey Josh It started with phone calls and I was stupid enough to give them my email so I could send them a list of requirements. I would guess any ones email ending with @popefinancialcenter.com would be a good place to start. Paul Pope and Sandra Rosetti are my contacts. |

I would guess any ones email ending with @popefinancialcenter.com would be a good place to start. What are you referring to by the above statement? Josh was asking if posting the Tiff here, prompted rude e-mails from Bigger Pockets members. I don't think thats the case because you referred to the rude e-mails in the same post with the Tiff. It started with phone calls and I was stupid enough to give them my email so I could send them a list of requirements. I assume by (them) you mean Pope Financial? They appear to be typical Mortgage Brokers, most probably desperate and going BROKE! BROKE BROKER! What and who's requirements? Are YOU in the market for multi millions in assets? I would guess your trying to broker some deals and from your comments learning quickly that it's not pleasant? I always find it interesting that the same fools that helped to create the sub prime mess, are the same fools who are " trying" to broker the now very distressed assets. Most of these folks made VERY good living for quite a while. There best skills in many cases are deception and copy and pasting documents etc. ANYTHING for a buck in the good times and ANYTHING for a buck in the bad times, but WORSE! |

I was half paying attention here. No not from the tif. For telling this guy in my personal email that he was full of it. I am not sure if anything came directly from bigger pockets. I think it is the only place my phone # is posted though. As far as the market for Millions, No. I have some regular clients that buy invesments and have the money to do so on what I would consider a large scale. 10, 20, maybe 50m. At this point it seems unrealistic like chasing a white unicorn. I am really interested in this market for the sake of being a spectator It seems much smater to buy one at a time cash in a mass production.I have resorted to looking into NPN's on a smaller scale and we will see how those turn out. If you pay attention here, you learn at a very fast pace. Much like you James. From your first post till now it's like night and day. They say you are only as smart as your 10 closest friends but here you're exposed to so much more than normal. I can't believe how fast I have been able to pick things up here. So no need to boot anyone. I don't think anyone from here has been an issue. Those people don't tend to last long eithor. |

Cool.. And YES in my opinion the savvy investor can put together deals one at a time in volume and not end up with total junk! The majority of REO " portfolio's are not the primo properties to say the least.

Anyone that believes that list is accurate or viable needs to have their meds increased. As usual, most that try their hands at this side of the market just want to believe in the falsehoods of Billions in available product at 20's and 30's It's not real people! |

I was threatened to be sued this morning. It was great. Chris brought up a good point. I, in no way signed a ncnd and am prevy to no broken laws. I also have a .tif from some idiot claining to be selling all this product that has absolutly no proof of his source. I love california. People think they can sue even if there are no laws in place to protect them. |

So, your saying that these folks are if not Bigger Pockets members, they most likely were trolling and found you here, contacted you AND later saw the Tiff you posted after their initial rude calls and e-mails? |

My day started with a 26 Billion dollar request and I only need 260 Million to get the docs to review... Not only that but the broker claims that this is from a " private seller" How do people get suckered into this or believe that there's a private seller with 26 BILLION in REO of all things Of course the usual standards are applicable 33 and a 3% commission......which of course is over 750 MILLION DOLLARS! I feel so lucky to be blessed enough to receive these legitimate requests |

Wow, some people have all the luck! I bet your cousin is a Nigerian Oil Minister who embezzled $20 million in funds that you are going to help him to get them out of the country. 8) |

recently got an email from a guy who claimed to have moved 700 Billion in paper. These guys went from assigning contracts on houses at market value with zillow saying there was equity to this we got another email, one was from a " mandate" checking refererences on an MTN buyer (This is a former protegee gone bad)
99 percent of the people are trying to become instant millionaires for doing nothing. This game is about risk and projection of trends on distressed assets. A very risky game, for those who play it we have a much traveled deal here in SWFL, 72 houses. I got about 15 emails from 15 differnet " mandates" I was thinking of writing an ebook about the law of attraction and Bulk Reo and NPN sales, it would be a hit!
