How hard is it to add a shower?
There is a multifamily property that has 3 BD/ 1.5 BA units and the sqft of each unit is about 1,600 sf. How hard would it be to add in just a shower to the 0.5 BA (like just build out into one of the rooms)? The building was built in 1910.
I assume it is a pier and beam foundation based on the year built? Your difficulty and cost will be based on many factors. Is the property a 1 or 2 story? If 2 and the bathroom is on the second floor, the plumber will need to access the other plumbing/water lines and this could involve accessing walls and ceilings in various areas depending on your layout. Are you within city limits and are building permits required? This is an additional cost/step.
Your best bet is to consult with a few contractors to get some bids and go from there.

If there is a tub already there you could do it for a few hundred dollars. Otherwise thousands-lots of them! All the best!

IMPOSSIBLE for us to answer,
good luck
@Dakota Timm need a contractor assessment but you are talking in the thousands and simple to impossible. Plaster walls, older plumbing? where do they have to get to etc.
