There's also a meetup in Everett organized by BP people in that area.
Dawn,
There are several real estate investor groups in Washington State. Happy to give you more links and/or information if your interested, I've been part of lots of them.
Here is the link to the one Gerald was referring too

yep, that answers my question. Thanks!
Hi guys,
My name is Katherine Swanberg and I am the Executive Director of REAPS (Real Estate Association of Puget Sound). We are one of the largest Associations for investors in the nation and have meetings all over Puget Sound. If you want to come check out a meeting for free you can get our calendar here:
http://reaps.memberize.com/clubportal/Calendar.cfm?ClubID=173
I'm available at [email protected] if you want to be my guest to a meeting just let me know. OR, you can pre-register and use promo code "bigger" at checkout to attend your first meeting for free.
I went to a handful of REAPS meetings and did not find invest-able useful content. It was primarily people starting out with no money saved, people trying to sell things , and people looking for hard money.
I once made the mistake of mentioning I flipped and had rental properties and I was attacked like a sharks prey by individuals looking for a "partnership".
I learned more talking to the young lady Jess on the phone. She had a good understanding of the market and general business.
Well that's disappointing to hear but I appreciate the feedback all the same.
Not sure when you came to one of our meetings or which meeting you attended but we have about 5-6 meetings around Puget Sound every month. Most are content only where nothing is for sale. They are all about local investors doing deals, building their teams and networking. In May we have a our annual "What I would do differently" event where our members get on stage and discuss what didn't go right on a deal and how to avoid it next time. This month we have a self-storage expert as our guest speaker....and tonight we are hosting Bigger Pocket's own Brandon Turner out our Kitsap Satellite meeting....if you can make it let me know and I will get you a guest pass.
I'm registered for tonight's REAP's meeting in Kitsap county, the one hosting BP's Brandon Turner via satellite. Should be a great evening, looking forward to it.
Brandon will be live - not satellite! :-)
brian. Are you nicoles dad?
Brandon Turner was live! both he and his wife attended. Brandon had a wonderful presentation. I was most inspired when he was talking about creative financing. There are a lot of routes that seem doable and within reach. He has learned some things the hard way which I think makes a great teacher.
@Brian Sorensen were you at the meeting?
I was the fellow who introduced Brandon. We went to the Hare and Hound in Poulsbo afterwards. I wish I had seen you to invite you.

Thanks so much, @Lisa Miller ! I had a blast! and thanks again @Brian Sorensen for inviting me!
Thanks Brandon! Your presentation was terrific. Good stuff for both beginning and veteran investors. Loved the info on how you've structured your partnerships. Hopefully we can do a western Washington BP gathering too!
@Brian Sorensen The Hare and Hound would have been fun way to end the day. Hard to recognize people by their thumb print pictures on BP and you weren't wearing your hat. It would have been nice to meet you. It's hard to tell by my pic but I was the one there with the long blond hair, down to my bum. Don't know if you saw me or not but if you did that was me. Erica couldn't make it, I wish she did, she could have introduced us. How is your GH flip house coming along? Should be almost done by now, right?
it's getting close :-)
Hi Dawn! What a pleasure to find you on here. Small world! I started a meeting with a small group in August, last month we had 19 people and as of the new we've set goals and added some structures. I will forward you the most recent email I sent out. Btw we're meeting this Tuesday evening.
When it comes to real estate investment groups and associations I think it's best described by what was said in The Boiler Room, "pay the numbers, this is a contact sport. meaning, the more people you contact the better you'll do."

Thanks all! I did go to Dave Fitches' group, and it was so awesome! Dave dragged me back to bp, and I really appreciate it, as I have really been enjoying the podcasts, and info. We are in tricities, so puget sound is a little too far for me, I should have been more specific, sorry!
